This hot hot summer I've really appreciated having crushed ice in my iced tea at work but my home fridge only makes half-moon shaped ice slices. I wanted a better way to crush ice for drinks at home than my food processer. This little machine is everything I'd hoped. Fits nicely on the counter beside my fridge. No more noisy than a food processer. I feed my ice slices one by one to avoid a possible jam as others have reported (only happened once before I started this method). The little chunks don't melt in drinks as fast as shaved ice, which I like.
