We bought this since my husband wanted to build this fireplace. We were looking for something sleek and easy to install. Pros: you can use without the heat, it changes colors, easy to install Cons: it has little crystals which don’t look as nice as logs (in our opinion) and the bottom lights that indicate temperature and such turn on a lot during use

Love the look
We have a high ceiling in our living room and it always seemed cold. I just wanted something to take the chill out of the air and this seems to do the trick. Of course, we have not had a lot of cold weather since we got it but I feel it will do just fine. It was easy to install into our wood burning fireplace which we have not used in years. Too much trouble. My husband had to cover a couple of inches of the opening above the insert but he did that with no problem. Very proud of our purchase.
