This steamer requires some assembly, but it was easy to set up. I put distilled water in the tank (I always use distilled, it greatly extends the life of any steamer or iron). It has 2 settings, low and high and a blue light comes on when you turn it on. There's no indicator light or beep to tell you when the steamer is ready, you just have to watch it (you'll hear the steam building up before it comes out). It takes a good 2 minutes for the steam to start (their info says 45 seconds) The steam comes out in a fine mist with no spitting or sputtering that can cause water spots on fabric. The hose is stiff but becomes flexible when it heats up. Always use the handle, don't grab it by the hose as it gets kind of hot. Keep the hose hanging up on the steamer to prevent kinking and stopping steam coming out. The steamer is stationary, there are no wheels though you can slide it a short distance on a hard floor. It has a large capacity water chamber. This is a nice steamer. I've had professional type steamers for 20 years and this one works very well compared to them. Make sure you read the instructions on how to operate it before using. So far the best thing I like about this steamer is that the steam comes out in a very fine mist without spitting or sputtering which my old steamer has been doing for awhile and why I wanted to replace it. I use a steamer frequently so I usually don't empty the water chamber unless I'm not going to be using it for awhile. I ONLY use distilled water. If you use tap water, you should probably empty it when done using (which the instructions tell you to do). The thing I least like about it is that it has no wheels but I can live with that. I have to mention that the first steamer arrived with the bottom part that houses the electrical parts not completely assembled, all screws were missing and it came apart when it was picked up. I requested and received a replacement. Despite this, which is a quality control issue I hope they correct, I'm giving this steamer 5 stars. At around $100, the price is reasonable. My last steamer bought about 8 years ago was close to $200 and this one is comparable to it.
Easy to set up and use steamer. Especially when you have a shirt that needs to be wrinkle free, just pour some water into the steamer, set the temperature and in 1-2 minutes it’s ready to be use. Great to use not just for clothings. It can also be use to steam your couch and straighten your curtains.
